Salt

Last night I cried so hard

That the angles forgot their errands

And listened in

Rubber-necking

Gaping fissures in the soul

Split open and spill

Fermented innards

Still leaking

Saline pillows

Damp beneath a heavy head

Draw out  poison

 The down absorbing

I swim in oceans

To restore my salt

And find myself in sneaker waves

The tide is ebbing
